Question

1968 pennies
Mr. Moore,  I have a cousin who recently inherited 50 rolls (2500) San Francisco minted 1968 pennies. Her sister, who worked at a bank in SF in 1968, bought these rolls at the time they were issued. The rolls were kept in a drawer in her bedroom and were discovered upon her passing. They are all wrapped similarly in wrappers marked "Brink's Inc." "Hanley Coinrap Co. SF". I understand 1968 SF minted pennies may be worth something other than 1 cent. I am sending one picture of the front of 50 pennies from a roll she brought to me, in a second & a third questions to follow I will send another picture of the 50 with a picture of the wrapper included and 1 picture (the best I could get) of the back of one of the coins. Can you advise if these are worth much more than 1 cent and, if so, what they may be worth. The 50 I have look to be uncirculated.  What would be the best way to handle these coins and where might one find a market if they are worth some $$$.  Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Dave

Answer
Dave,

Sorry but 1968-S pennies don't have much value -- about a dollar per roll of 50.

1969-S rolls have the chance of there being a rare double die penny in it, but this does not apply to 1968-S rolls.

Wish I had better news for you.
