Question
Hi brad

I was just wondering if you could tell me what an Australian 1911 One Florin - Two Shillings coin is worth. It's in fairly good condition, just a little worn on both sides

Thankyou very much

Answer
Hi Lisa, There were 950,000 of these Aussie 2 shillings (Florin) featuring King George V (1910-36) minted in London that first year of the design. It contains .3363 of an ounce of silver. Collector value may be worth about $10 with heavy wear to around $200 with moderate wear to maybe $800 with light wear.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
