Question
I was wondering if you could tell me if these coins have an value other than their face value. The Wisconsin quarter is stamped off to the side and the edge is almost completely smooth. The American Twenty Dollar coin is dated 1904. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
AnswerHi Tammy, The type and extent of the error influences the value as well as amount of wear and collector demand. You might try the Error Coins link on this web site:
http://coinsite.com/ or
http://www.jimscoins.net/error_coin_examples.php . I would guess it may be worth $2-$5 depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
The South African Krugerrand should be worth about 5% over its one ounce gold value (~$1200).
Current gold and silver values:

The U.S. 1902 $20 coin should weigh 33.436 grams and would contain .9675 of an ounce of gold. It may have an S mintmark below the eagle (more common). It would be worth over its gold value as well depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
You might take them by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion:

You might also try a library for a copy of the Guidebook of United States Coins or Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
