Question

1617 COIN
I HAVE A COIN DATED 1617 WITH DIAMETER OF 1.5 INCHES . ONE SIDE HAS PHOTO OF MAN AND DATE WITH WRITING INCLUDING MAXIM  . OTHER SIDE HAS CREST WITH WRITING INCLUDING TIROL

Answer
Hi Mark, it looks to be a fake of an Austrian Thaler of Maimillian. There were many varieties and if genuine may be worth about $350.
You might take it by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion: http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/coin_dealers .
The Standard Catalog of World Coins doesn't picture all the varieties but fakes are known to exist.
