Question
Dear Brad,
I have two proof sets of the 1966 Rhodesian 5Pound ,1Pound and ten shillings in the original box from the mint.Where would be the best place to sell them and have you any idea of the value.
Many Thanks.
Steven Jacobson

Answer
Hi Steven, There were 2000 of these sets produced. Each contains 1.529 ounces of gold (.1176, .2352, 1.1762). Collector value should be more than the gold value (~$1885). It was originally sold for $280!
Current gold and silver values: http://www.kitco.com/market/ .
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison and as a place to offer it for sale.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
