Question
I will try to do my best to describe theses coins. The bronze one has a picture of a bald headed guy facing to the left. Dated 1954. On the back it has a number 5. Above the 5 is a thick cross and above the cross is a crown. On each side of the cross stands a man. The writing is not in English. I can't type the symbols. the coin is also a little tarnished. The other is a silver coin. definitely not US. On one side of the coin it has a picture of the world with a little band across the bottom of the world. Under the world it is dated 197? It looks like an upside down v. On the other side it has an oval egg looking thing in the middle with another oval in the center of the bigger oval. Designs at the bottom. And some kind of writing on the top of each side

Answer
Hi Monica, There were 21 million of the copper-nickel Greek 5 Drachmai coins minted that year featuring King Paul I (1947-64) and Hercules standing on each side of a shield. Collector value may be worth about .15 with heavy wear to around .50 with moderate wear to maybe $1.50 with light wear.
The second is an Arabic coin dated 1968. If you have clear pictures (not over 1 megabyte each please) you can email them to me at tbirde@psknet.com.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
