Question

new jersey quarter
I have a quarter I got as change from a vending machine and wanted to know if it is worth anything. It is a New Jersey quarter. and I will attach a picture of it. Thanks, Jim

Answer
Jim,

The picture is too blurry to tell, but if it is a missing clad layer error, it could be worth $100 or more.

You shjould find a local coin show, take it there to be examined first hand, and then possibly submit it for certification.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
