Coin and Paper Money Collecting/misprint dollar bill

Question

Dollar bill
What is the value of a 1977 $1.00 bill that has part of the serial number on the back as well as part of the Fereral Reserve logo. It looks like it was printed at different times as you would have to fold it 2 ways to get the misprints to match up. This bill has never been used as I received it in a new pack of ones from a bank in 1977.
Thanks for your time,
Ron

Answer
Hi Ron, Error value depends on date, type and extent of the error as well as amount of folds or wear and collector demand. This may be worth about $100 or more.
You might try the following Paper Money Errors links:

You may also find similar pieces on Ebay.com for comparison.
You might take it by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion: http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/coin_dealers .
