Question
I have a couple of old turkish notes approximately world war 2 era one is 50000 ell bin turk lirasi and the other is 1000000 yuz bin turk lirasi are you able to tell me the value of these notes please.

Answer
Hi Jan, if the letter before the serial number on the Turkish 50,000 Lire note is A thru J it was issued in 1989 and collector value may be worth about $1 with heavy wear to around $2 with moderate wear to maybe $4 with light wear to perhaps $7.50 if uncirculated (no wear). If it is K or after it was issued in 1995 and may be worth up to about $2.50 at best.
The 1995 1,000,000 Lire note may be worth $1 up to maybe $20 depending on amount of wear and collector demand. The 2002 version has a pale colored back and may be worth .50 up to about $8 at best.
