i have a helvetia 1947 20 fr gold coin do you know how much it is worth?
Hi Tiana, Helvetia is the Latin name the Romans gave the Switzerland area over 2000 years ago. The Swiss achieved an independent confederation of cantons in 1291.
There were 9.2 million of the 20 Franc coins minted that year. This coin should weigh 6.4516 grams and would contain .1867 of an ounce of gold. Value above gold value depends on amount of wear and collector demand.
