Question
I recieved a 1776 continetal dollar  I believe it's made out of pewter... It's a little worn. Can't really make out any of the words... I was wondering what it's worth. I know the condition of the coin determines what the value is... So I am hoping for a ballpark price.

Considering the thousands of copies, replicas, and counterfeits that have been made for this coin over the last several decades, without seeing it, I have to believe that's what you have too.  These are generally worth a dollar or three.

If it has a bubbled or corroded looking surface, or if there is a visible seam along the outside edge, you definitely have a replica.

If not, you need to have it examined first-hand by an expert -- it could be worth several thousand dollars.  Try checking the following websites for a coin show in your area where you can take it to be looked at :
