Question
Hi Brad,
My Husband and I just got married and moving into our first house. Today while I was unpacking I noticed a small metal box hidden in the pantry. It was full of coins. Since I can only send one picture... (Plus don't want to overload you with questions)... I'll start with the oldest one. It is a mexican 1916 5 centavos (cent). It is a dull brown but it still has a lot of detail. I would love to know more about it and what it might be worth.
I'm so excited I found all these coins I wished I could just send them all to you. there is about $2 worth of wheat back pennies and other old coins from like Australia, Argentina and Japan (I think). So I'll keep in touch with you. :) thanks for any info you can give. Have a wonderful day, Angela
AnswerHi Angela, There were 2.86 million of the Mexican 5 centavos minted in Mexico City (Mo) that year. It may be worth about $1 to $5 with that amount of wear depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
