Question

Canadian $1 Bill front
Hi.  I have four (4) 1973 Canadian $1 Bills in mint condition and was just wondering if they have more value than $1.  They are all the same bill with the Queen on the front and the Parliament Buildings on the back.  Serial Numbers are ALM2480461, BFD6148339, BFD6148373, BFD6148370.  If they are not worth very much now. How old would they have to be to be worth a lot.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hi Dana, no information can be gotten from the back of a note. In any case, these are the last $1 notes issues. On the other hand they were issued in large amounts at the time. More were actually sold in 1988 to collectors.
The uncirculated (no wear) notes may be worth about $3.50 each but may gradually increase over time depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
