Question
Hi Ron,

My husband is wondering if there is a place that he can find out the mintage and the place of mintage ( Denver or Philly) on the 1980 to 2010 pennies.

Thank you so much for your time.
Nancy

Answer
Hi Nancy:

Thanks for your question.

I'll provide you several links where you can get the information and history of the Lincoln Cent. The mintage for 2010 is not available, as the coins are still being struck. The Lincoln Cent is the coin most collected in the US.

Mintage of Lincoln Cents: http://www.bestcoin.com/lincoln-cent-mintage-two.htm or http://lincolncents.net/lincoln-memorial-cent-mintage/

History and information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_cent or http://lincolncents.net/lincoln-memorial-cent/

You don't mention your husband selling the collection, but if he should decide to sell his coins to a dealer, remember they will likely offer about 50% to 60% of the retail value. If you live close to a local shop, they should offer an opinion as to the value at no charge. Always try and get at least two opinions and try and deal with PNG dealers if possible. Here's a link to find one in your area: http://www.pngdealers.com/dealersearch.php
