Question

coin side A
Brad,
Can you give me any information on this chinese coin or medal? My Chinese friends say it says "Allied Victory" on the front. It looks to be brass, weighs 59 g,48 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick.  Any idea what it is worth?

Answer
Steve, that's a modern fantasy piece, not a coin.
A 'fantasy' piece is when someone creates or hijacks an official design and changes it to suit whatever purpose they imagine that will make the coin interesting enough to sell as a souvenir or conversation piece to someone who is unfamiliar with the genuine pieces. It has no real collector value.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
