Question
I am going through my fathers’ coin collection and I came across a coin that is stamped on the front side and blank on the back side and I wondering if there would be value in this coin?

I have one that is similar in size, metal, facial, however the engraving slightly different (GEORGIVS VI D: G: REX ETIND: IMP:) on the front  and the back is stamped dated CANADA 1947 and is a 50 Cents with Royal Crest.

Coin description front:
Engraving   GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP.
Metal      Silver
Facial      Facing left
Sex         Male
Country      ?
Amount      ?

Back of coin blank.

Answer
The balnk side could be any number of things.  First and most obvious would be that someone polished off the deatils to make the coin into a medal or "love token" to be engraved.
The other possibility is that the coin is an experimental uniface strike.

I suggest you have the coin certified by an independent service such as Numismatic Guarantee Corporation located in Florida.
