Do you know if there is ant premium for a $20.00 1934 Hawaii overprint note?
Average condition with some fold marks.

Thanks for your question.

A Hawaii Overprint Note is one of a series of banknotes (one Silver Certificate and three Federal Reserve Notes) issued during World War II as an emergency issue after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The intent of the overprints was to easily distinguish US currency captured by Japanese forces in the event of an invasion of Hawaii and render said bills useless.

Condition of your note is a determining factor in establishing the value of your piece. A recent issue of "Paper Money Values" lists the retail value of your 1934 $20 Hawaii note at approximately $80 in very good condition. The value increases to $100 for a bill in fine condition. Highly circulated notes would likely bring up to double the amount over face value.

You may want to check US currency listings on eBay from time to time to see if your note is listed what this type of note brings.
