Answer
Hi Rod:

Thanks for your question(s).

I'm not strong on world coins, but I'll try to answer your questions. You don't state the year of your coin, but I found an active "Buy It Now" auction for a 2000 $20 Liberia coin struck in .999F Silver for $16.50 plus $2.50 Shipping and Handling, so your piece is likely worth that amount. It says less than 20,000 struck, which may seem RARE, but there are not a lot of collectors of Liberia coins. See:  http://cgi.ebay.com/LIBERIA-SILVER-20-00-PROOF-999-ABE-LINCOLN-/380244041557?cmd...

I also found a website dealer selling what I believe to be your coin for $25. It is identified as KM-479 Liberia 2000 20 Dollars U.S. President Abraham Lincoln Proof. See: http://www.wcoins.com/fc/p.php?pic=C3620

It looks as if an entire series, and a coin was made for each US President, and the coin contains 2/3 Oz. of silver, or approximately $12.70 at the present price of silver just over $19 an ounce.

If you live close to a local shop, they should offer an opinion as to it's value at no charge. If you choose to sell you coin, remember, dealers normally offer about 50% to 60% of retail for items they are interested in. Always try and get at least two opinions and try and deal with PNG dealers if possible. Here's a link to find one in your area: http://www.pngdealers.com/dealersearch.php

The Republic of Liberia, is a country on the west coast of Africa, bordered by Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, and the Atlantic Ocean.
