Coin and Paper Money Collecting/uncirculated Lincoln penny

Question
I have a 1972 uncirculated Lincoln head penny with a profile reproduction of John Kennedy looking at Lincoln.  It was given to all graduating seniors that year on a card with the LIncoln-Kennedy coincicidences printed on the card. The coin is a copper penny with Kennedy looking at Lincoln. It has the word liberty printed on the front of the penney along with in God we trust, and coined in Denver. It is tarnished from not being cleaned but the lines are excellent. I have never removed the coin from the card it was presented on so I assume the back is good shape as well.
This Lincoln-Kennedy penney was only coined the one year. Does it have any real value?  Where could I go to get an exact value, if any?
Thank You

Answer
Carolyn,

The Kennedy image on those Lincoln cents was not done at the Mint -- somebody with a metal punch with Kennedy's image on it stamped the image into hundreds or thousands of pennies.  This was a somewhat popular advertising gimmick back in the 70's with some small businesses -- they would buy these blank cards from a vendor, stamp their business information on the bottom of the card, and hand them out to customers and other people they wanted to advertise to.

I actually have these for sale on my website :

I've bought and sold these novelty coins stamped on several different 70's dated pennies for years.

I hope this helps,

Dan
