Question

Could you please give me an idea of how much this coin is currently worth? The other side of the coin has the following:denomination,Rey Const.De Espana, crest, pillars, plus ultra. Thanks!

Answer
Hi MK, There were over 11 million of these minted that year featuring Alphonso XIII, 1889-1931. This coin should weigh 25.0 grams and would contain .7234 of an ounce of silver. Collector value may be worth about $15 with heavy wear to around $20 with moderate wear to maybe $50 with light wear. Cleaning coins that leaves them shiny or scratched, even if only by looking with a magnifying glass, will reduce a coin's value by at least half.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
