Question

pix
I have a 1985 zinc penny . Wondering how much its worth ? I read on the internet that its around $100 . My penny though is at 2.4grms have all the detailed outlined of a penny BUT the size of a nickel . I believe it was struck many times thats why it expanded to the size of a nickel and the penny is partly warped along the edges ( due to over stamping )
Let me know if you need a high resolution picture , i can probably get one .

Answer
Judging just from the picture, I don't think it is real.

Since 1982, all the pennies are zinc, plated with copper.  However, none of the detail on your coin is blurred which is what would happen if the coin was struck in a normal mint press.  The profile of Lincoln and the Lincoln Memorial are simply, larger.  They sould be the correct size since the die did not get bigger.

It is just that everything is in proportion which isn't right.

I may be wrong but from what I see, that is what I have determined.
