Question
front bearded side profile of a man Lvitpold Prinz Regent V. Bayern 1821-12 Maerz 1911.  Back is a crowned spread eagle Deutsches Reich 1911, bottom Drei Mark.  Another coin exactly the same as above discription but is smaller and on the back is Zwei Mark - BEAUTIFUL COINS

Answer
Hi Kathy,
These are also German States coins, from Bavaria and also made of silver. These are the 2 and 3 mark versions of the same commemorative. (zwei = two, drei = three, also some coins will say funf, which is five marks).
Values for each one range from around $15 to $75 depending on condition.
Thanks again! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
