Question

Coin
I have a 1966 Central Bank of the Philippines Ten Centavos coin that has been mis-struck.
Its about a 1/8 inch off center from the bottom and is in fairly good condition. How much would this coin possibly be worth?

Answer
Hi Andy,
It's a nice error, though not a particularly rare one. On eBay I would expect is to sell somewhere between $15 and $25. However, a coin shop that deals with error coins would be asking a retail price of a few times that.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
