Dear Sir, What is RED Penny? I saw a article that there are three
type Black,Brown,RED.and did not save the link... I just found
a 1919 RED Penny in High Grade (clean,no rust,dents,extra clean)
for its age! I see an article that these era Penny the RED ones
have been auctioned MS-RED-65 etc etc for astounding amounts!!
Again,please a link to a site for the exact mintage of the
1919 RED Penny?  God Bless!

Hi again,

All pennies start out as red -- that's the natural color for newly made copper.  Over time this will become increasingly darker.

While the current price guide lists the 1919 pennies in MS-65 RED grade at $2,000 to $3,000 -- this is only if they have a "D" or "S" mintmark below the date.  The mintage for the one with no mintmark is much higher, making it much more common and much less valuable -- they currently list for $75 in the same grade.

If your coin can be certified MS-65 RED by PCGS or NGC, it could bring $150 to $200 -- uncertified brings a lot less.
