Coin and Paper Money Collecting/British West Africa Coins

Question
Hello Dimitry
Amongst a box of old coins ( mainly UK) I have found 2-3 coins from British West Africa and wondered what - if any, value these might have.

1) 1936 One Penny, Edward VIII
2) 1957 One Penny, Queen Elizabeth II
3) 1938 Two Shillings, George VI

Would be grateful for any advice you can provide.
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Azim,
These are common issues, with many millions of each one made. There are also different mint marks for these, some will have a small H or KN. Either way in circulated condition they are worth a couple dollars each. In uncirculated condition with strong luster and no problems they are worth up to $10 each.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
