Coin and Paper Money Collecting/certificates for silver

Question
QUESTION: I'm so glad I found you, I have been desperate for help. My parents have certificates for silver that were bought from    Deek-Perera in 1982 and the silver was stored in a depository in DE. I have done some research and know the company does not exist any more and that Goldline had taken over the metals aspect of the company. My question is how do we go about cashing in these certificates or taking possession of the silver?

ANSWER: Hi Kelly,

Contact Goldline directly.  They took over the storage program and should have all the necessary paperwork to get that done.

Good Luck,

QUESTION: Thank you for your reply. Could you suggest a person at Goldline I could contact? I did call Goldline and talked to two different people who told me that they knew nothing about it and one did offer to get in touch with me, but I never heard anything back.

Answer
Hi Kelly,

Try to get in touch with Robert Fazio.  He worked for Deak before the company was broken up, after I had already left.  Here is his background.

Robert Fazio has traded precious metals professionally since 1986. He worked with Deak International Goldline Limited/Deak International Goldline (US) Ltd. from 1986-1991 prior to A-Mark's purchase of Deak International Goldline, (US) Ltd. He became Vice President at Goldline International, Inc. in 1992.

Mr. Fazio graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1986 with a major in Communication Arts. He is a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA).

He currently serves as president of Goldline, if he can't help you, I don't know who can.  Feel free to use my name if you feel it may help.

Best Regards
