Coin and Paper Money Collecting/German Medal - 1888 Value and Identification

Question
Good day Mr. Livshits,
In my search for information about the medal, I have found a similar item on Allexperts from 5/30/2009.  The expert was Mr. Brad Swain.  My example of the medal has the three kaisers facing left and is dated 1888.  The following inscription is on the obverse of the medal,"Wilhelm I  Freidrich III  Wilhelm II".  The reverse is an imperial e with the following inscription around the eagle, "Zur Frinnerfung An Das Drei Kaiserjahr".  The medal is silver and in my opinion in almost uncirculated condition.  There are no edge markings and the diameter is a little larger than a half dollar.
I thank you most sincerely for your assistance or any guidance that you may be able to render.
Thank you very much.

Answer

Hi Robert,
This is a commemorative medal from the German State of Prussia, commemorating the interesting year of 1888 when there were three different kaisers. These medals are found in both silver and in silver gilded white metal.
The silver version in excellent condition is worth $40 to $50, though it would be lower if sold strictly within the US.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
