Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Foreign coins

Question
I have 3 Chilean peso's from the 1970's... I am not sure if they are of any value.  Most of the research I have turned up on my own have lead me to believe not.  If you could give me any information that would be wonderful.  They are of a somewhat gold color and 2 are in rough shape and the third is in pretty good condition.  The 2 that look rough are a 1975 & 1979 peso.  The better one is a 1978 peso. Also in the mix is a 1$ coin from Mexico dated 1984 in good condition and a 2005 Commonwealth of the Bahamas quarter.  I appreciate any information you have, as I have no knowledge of coins.

Answer
Hi Christie,
Unfortunately these coins do not have a significant collector value. They are just too modern and were made in very high numbers. I hope that does not turn you away from being interested in coins in the future.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
