Question
Hello!
I have found 2 wilhelmina koningin der nederlanden dime bracelets in a jewelery box and was wondering what they might be worth. the dimes are random years from 1920-1950 and are slightly tarnished.
Any ideas?
thanks for your help
Mic

Answer
Hi Mic,
They may be worth something extra to a specialist that collects coin jewelry, if they are well crafted.
To a typical coin collector the value would be in the silver. There would not be a collectible value on the coins individually as they are common dates and would have some damage from being made into a bracelet.
Also, the 1945 and earlier dates are silver, after 1945 they are copper-nickel.
Tanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
