Hi,
I'm back again, I have two more medals for your consideration. First one; France 1867 Universal Exposition, Bronce, 37mm. Obverse; Napoleon III bust, Rverse; Women with wings and shield. Signed by H. Ponscarme. I just want the value.
The second one,England 1937 George VI and Elizabeth Coronation, Bronce, 35mm. Obverse; GerogeVI and Elizabeth busts, Reverse; a crown in a flower. I found other like this but with other reverse. Can you tell me the value? I have these medals about one year, but I don't have idea the value yet. Thank you.

Answer
Hi again Ramon,
The first medal is a more common, souvenir version of a larger medal. The French government issued the same medal in bronze and silver, but those are 51mm to 58mm in size. There are smaller ones in gold as well.
The smaller ones I have seen in different sizes and usually they have been silver or gold gilded. Value on this one is only $15-$20.
The second medal was also made in silver. The bronze one generally is worth in the $40 range in excellent condition. Your medal has some green oxidation, and that would drop the value to $20-$25.
Thanks again for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
