QUESTION: Is there a collector of these coins? Have others from countries and currencies that don't exist anymore.

ANSWER: Hi Walter,
There are collectors for all coins. Spanish colonial pieces in particular are pretty hot right now. The coin you posted can be from one of several mints, the other side would have the marks necessary to determine which one it is.

This one is from Spain itself, the Seville mint, rather than one of the colonial mints in Latin America. They are indeed silver, 0.833 purity. Because the portrait is well worn, the value would be $10-$15. In high grade they bring significant prices.
