Question
I have a 1975 dime that that has been misstamped. The dime is thicker in the center and the face on the front is elonggated and the back obcured by the misstamped portion on the flame. What is this dime values?

Answer
Hi Lois,
The best thing to do is to look on ebay for a similar item.  Coins like this have a value based on what an error collector will pay for it.  Typically, pieces like yours sell in the $10-$25 range.
However, I have seen them sell for $5 and $35.
