this is moore of a thank you than a question ifound my coin you were spot on the x is a concelled die and i thought you might be intrested because it is an odd item i found it at www.fortresscatalogue.com thanks to your info on cancelled dies if you have any suggestions on how to sell it please let me know if you look it up the coin is a 1965 thank you again very much roger

Answer
Hello again Roger,
That is exciting news.
I would highly suggest sending the piece to NGC to be properly authenticated and placed in an archival grade holder. Selling it without such a service will not bring nearly the full value of the piece.
You may want to consider consigning it to a Heritage coin auction. There is a consignment fee, of course, but it is the best way to go for something like this, in my honest opinion.
Thanks again! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
