Question

no head quarter
my coin looks so real, its hard to believe its fack. im sending you pictures. there's a picture of each side, one with reflection in mirror and one of the middle of quarter.

Answer
Sharon,

Thank you for the picture.

Unfortunately, unless you use about 30X magnification, you just can't see well enough in a picture to show the seam where the two pieces come together.

If you look just inside the raised rim, on one side or the other, you will find the seam.

Another way to tell is by sound.  A normal quarter will have a "ring" sound to it when dropped on a hard surface.  A fake one will have more of a "thud" sound.

These novelty coins sell regularly in novelty shops for a couple dollars.

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
