Question
Just wondering if this is worth anything,  slightly worn on back side. has wreath and ribbon under 1928. Where are the P D or S I have heard about on older coins of this type, does this have that? and where should I look.  Thanks for all your help!

Answer
Hi Michelle,
The P, D, S mint marks are only found on Netherlands coins from the early 1940's. Coins before that only had privy marks, which are on the left and right below the date, between the date and wreath. Unfortunately it's a common date and in circulated condition is worth just a dollar or two.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
