Question
Hi,
I have Sacagawea coin that has absolutely no date anywhere on the coin. there is something that looks like two ss on her scarf but no date... is that worth any extra?

Answer
Iris,

Did you check the edge?  The date and mintmark were moved to the edge in 2009.  The reverse design was also changed from the flying eagle design :

The 2009 Native American $1 Coin reverse features a Native American woman planting seeds in a field of corn, beans and squash. The 2010 Native American $1 Coin reverse features an image of the Hiawatha Belt with five arrows bound together and the additional inscriptions HAUDENOSAUNEE and GREAT LAW OF PEACE. The 2011 Native American $1 Coin reverse features the hands of the Supreme Sachem Ousamequin Massasoit and Governor John Carver, symbolically offering the ceremonial peace pipe after the initiation of the first formal written peace alliance between the Wampanoag tribe and the European settlers.

More info about these coins can be found here :

If you have no date on the edge, let me know, and we'll try to figureout exactly what you have.

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
