Coin and Paper Money Collecting/10 Cent French coin from 1814 with a N in a wreath

Question
So, I work for a numistics sales site. I've been working here for the last year and have recently come across a French coin that I cannot find in the Standard Catalog of World Coins 1801-1900.
"10 cent" "Monnaie Obsidionale" one side
"Anvers" "N" "w" "1814" on the other. The N and W are inside a wreath.
I took two pictures, one of each side of course.

Answer
Hi Joseph,
Sorry about the delay in getting to your question. I'm a big fan of Littleton coin company.
This coin was issued by and is listed under France, but is actually from Antwerp in Belgium, while under French siege. They are not particularly scrace coins, but the one you posted is in particularly nice condition for this type. I would expect a fair retail value of around $50, though an auction price would likely be a bit lower.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
