Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1956-D RD Lincoln Penny dipped?

Question
1956-D
1956-D
So I found a 1956 wheat penny at McD's yesterday, and it is in wonderful condition. Aside from a few hairline scratches, and very minor wear on Lincoln's beard (probably just a weak strike) it is surprisingly well kept. I suspect, though, that it may have been dipped, because it has full mint orange tone, except for two small splotches on Lincoln's jaw and temple where it is brown.

All of the reverse looks MS-64 or better to me

What are your thoughts -I can't imagine anyone dipping a coin made as recent as 1956, but then again, I don't not know much about coins

Thanks, Max

Answer
Max, if you want a for certain answer you need to show the original coin in person to an expert who can tilt it under light and see the results.  But from what you sent me, the coin looks original, just perhaps a bit toned.  Splotches can develop on coins. The piece is, as I think  you know, not a high value piece, Jim Lawniczak
