I HAVE A -CAROL 1111 DC HISP.ET IND R 1792 (FRONT)

How can I tell if it is real or a replica.
Hi Bob,
Normally these coins are solid high purity gold. A good jeweler should be able to tell you if your coin is sold gold or not just by eye and feel, without having to damage it with an acid test.
The reference weight for a genuine coin is just over 27 grams. However, this can be tricky because coins that have wear will normally be slightly lower weight.
I can determine from clear and close-up pictures of the coin if the design, details and surface is correct for the coin type. If you can weigh the coin on an accurate scale, I can let you know if it's correct for the condition or suspicious.
