Question
Face of coin: Abraham Lincoln/His Face/In God We Trust President 1861-1865
Reverse side: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA/ $1/ A Statue of Liberty
and I think this is gold plated with stars around the edges and
E PLURIBUS UNUM.
Is this a commemorative coin? Is this in circulation or a collectors item.

This is one of the series of Presidential dollars that have been issued 4-per-year since 2007.
These dollar coins naturally have a golden color due to its specially designed alloy :
88.5% copper
6.0% zinc
3.5% manganese
2% nickel

While they are commemorative, they were issued for general circulation, and there were many millions of them minted, so they are not rare.
