Question
I have a 1965 dime that has from what I can see an extra leaf on the left side. I would like to know if this is an error coin or an altered coin?

Thank you for the pictures.

That blob of metal was caused by either a chip in the die used to make the coin, or was exposed to heat that made the metal bubble up.

In either case, collector interest is minimal, value at a dollar or less.
