Coin and Paper Money Collecting/British Guinea's

Question
Hello Dmitry,

How are you? Hope all is good. I contacted you last year about the value of some coins I have. You advised me to get them graded, which I have done. They were graded by PCGS. 1771 Guinea XF40, 1771 1/2 Guinea AU58 and 1793 Guinea MS61. Wanted to know if you can give me a fair market value in today's market? I appreciate your time.
Cheers
Danny

Answer
Hi again Daniel,
The colelctible value portion has been steady from last year to the present. However, rising gold values have added about an 10% or so to the total values of the coins that I gave you last year.
I don't expect the collectible values to increase for at least a few years. Gold values are expected to keep increasing, so a small percentage will be added every year depending on how much the gold markets increase.
Thanks again for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
