mystery token
Hi Joe ! While metal detecting along the banks of the Red river in Winnipeg Manitoba, I dug up what I thought was a large penny size slug. It was covered in corrosion, but I decided to keep it ,just in case. When I got home, I stuck it in the electrolisis machine for about a half hour, scrubbed it up with a toothbrush, and low and behold, this is what I came out with ! I searched all Canadian tokens on E-Bay and could not find a match,so, maybe you could help me Identify it. Note the pic below, I rendered what I could glean off it in a drawing. On one side it says,O G & Co . the reverse has a big 2 followed by a D, as well as two 2`s stamped on it. it`s copper, has reeded edge and denticles. Thats all I know . If you, could help in ANY way , in identifying this coin/token Please do ! Thanks for your time, Lawrence.Wpg. Canada

Answer
Hi Lawrence,

I know very little about tokens but I did find one on eBay, and 2 other references that may help you.
Good Luck!
Joe
