hi i have some coins that were given to me when my great grandfather died i have pics of them..i want someone to take a look at them and tell me what they think.. there are no coin dealers around my city to appraise em for me so figured i would try this haha...i didnt take pics of the pennies but there was a bag of pennies kept that are just from the 70's down to the 30's i think...was wondering what significance they were?
also i have more pics of the different coins i got but it only lets me send one pic here

From what I can see from your picture ...

The two dolar coins have no significant value.

The two nickels are in such poor condition that they will only be worth about 10 cents each.

The indian cents appear to be worth about 25-50 cents each.

And the dime and quarter wil have a silver melt value -- $2.75 for the dime and $6.85 for the quarter.

As for the pennies, the ones with wheat ears on the back are worth about 2.5 cents each, and the rest that are dated older than 1982 will be worth about 1.5 cents apiece if you can find a willing buyer.

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
