Question
On one side there are two crossed arrows with 2OR SM on the sides where the arrows cross. There is a crown at the top and 1767 at the bottom.
The other side has a coat of arms shaped like a shield with a crown at the top and I make out the letters SG V R.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Judith,
This is indeed a copper coin, a large 2 ore from Sweden. They are fairly common coin, but have pretty good value in excellent condition. I would not be able to give you a value without seeing a clear picture of the coin or knowing at least something about it's general condition.
An interesting fact: Many old Swedish coppers made their way over to the American colonies via the Delaware Fur Trade and are still being dug up today.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
