Question
I was given a bracelet that has 18 coins on it and was hoping you could give me any info you had plz?
R.IMP.HU.BO.REG M.THERESA.D.G
on reverse it has no writing just a picture of what i think is Sir George and the dragon, with a star at the bottom
I would be very greatful for any help you can give me thanks Mags x

Answer
Hi Mags,
These are actually novelty pieces rather than actual coins. One side has the Austro-Hungarian coin design with Maria Theresa, while the other has a design often seen on British & Commonwealth coins. There were not any genuine coins made with this combination of designs.
They may still have value, depending on what they are made of, the quality of the crafting and the age of the items. A clear picture of a few of them would be very helpful in determining all of these.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
