Question
I am in possession of the above 36 coin set.

My certified registration number is 185 and the set and album were purchased from the Lincolm mint.

What is the value of this collector's item?

Reno

Answer
Reno,

Unfortunately there is virtually no resale market for this kind of privately minted medals -- other than for the bullion value of the silver it contains.

So add up the total ounces of Sterling in the set -- multiply by the spot silver price (currently about $41) -- then multiply by 0.8 for the ratio that most bullion buyers will pay for Sterling.

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
