Hello!
Can you, please, give me some information on some coins I have and hope to sell.
- Umberto I 1887., back - L 1 (1 lira?)
- Vittorio Emanuele II 1863. (attached)
- Vittorio Emanuele III 1902.
- Vittorio Emanuele III 1913.
- Franz Josef 1893, 1894, 1895, 1901, 1915,1916

As you can see, most of them are pretty worn out.
Can you point me to some resources where I can find more about their value?

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Dean,
For teh silver coins, if they are all in the same condition as the two shown, they would be worth just a little over silver bullion value. These are pretty common dates.
The gold coin at the bottom is in excellent condition. It's also common, but worth 10% or so above gold bullion value.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
