Question
I came across an 1877 penny & an 1913 nickel but there 10 times the size of a penny or a regular modern coin. Do they still have value?

Answer
Joe, you have novelty pieces, probably like paperweights, if I am visualizing what you have described.  The 1877 is the most valuable Indian head cent and the 1913 a total rarity Liberty Head Nickel.  I've seen things like what you describe sell in the $5 range, but of course that doesn't mean a merchant would pay you that for yours.  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing searches for things describing what you have, like large paperweight 1913 nickel and see if any like what you have are for sale, Jim
