Question
Dear Sir, after a carefull search of over 1,000 cents.I found a 1964 D.I was so tired, but I said just turn em over to take a look and Wallah!! It has sometype of Wire/Hair planted in the Memorial Building. As, I viewed the Description Below. The Facts:

1.The Penny exhibits DDO Qualities.Lincolns eyelahes are Doubling.
2.Penny in AU-51-53 condition.Atleast VF!
3.Back has a HAIR/WIRE type black Thread planted weaved through the Memorial Building. Its at 120 degrees Angel and weaved around the Pillars, then it cuts into the Pillars goes over Lincolns figure to the exterior of te Building.Sometimes its Thin, sometimes Thicker, atplaces cutting into the coin,at times Up.
4.The Back also seems to Exhibits some DDR Qualities.
How did this object got caught in the US-Minting Process is a Mystery To-Be Resoveled,Unsolved Mysteries. Its a very Thick/Hair? I guess from a Workers Hair.Did they not wear Hair-Nets,then?

Ofcourse,I thought,I am imagining things. So I took the liberty to Gracefully try to Wipe it off.A little Water, soft tissue.NOTHING...its still the Exact same.Wow! Soild as a ROCK!
Well,I did hear a Story online and have seen pictures somewhere onine where a WIRE was discoverd in nearly the same fashion, and drew a PREMIUM...$$$$$$...Perhaps,due to its a Extremmly RARE and ODD Error.
Possibley, 1 in Billions....
Whats your thoughts on this Great Discovery?
Does it hold any collectors Value?
Have you ever seen or heard of such a Penny?
Well...here..is Another BAG of 1,000 Pennies to DiG into..for Treasures...Amen!

God Bless.
Beck,
Kissimmee FL

PS:I even found a 1974 (BRASS Penny) out of this 1,000 Penny search,and a 1992 where all numbers a Thick/Flatish.And 2 1960 Small Dates!

Answer
Hi Beck,

Sounds like a neat find -- would love to see a picture of it.

If you got it into a PCGS or NGC holder, marked as a struck-through error, I'm sure you could find a bunch of interested collectors that would bid high at an auction.

Congrats,

Dan

I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
